Maruti Suzuki India Limited launched the all-new Alto K10 with the tagline #IndiaKiChalPadi. The new gen model is based on Suzuki’s Heartect platform, which underpins most of Maruti’s current portfolio. The overall styling of the hatchback also gets a neat and sharp makeover, compared to its predecessor.
The new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also comes equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster and power windows. It additionally gets electrically adjustable ORVMs and steering-mounted controls.
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 sports an updated K-Series 1.0-litre engine that produces 65.7 bhp and churns out 9 kgm of peak torque under the hood. The transmission gets a 5-speed AMT(AGS) option, apart from the standard 5-speed MT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki also claims the car has a fuel efficiency of 24.9 kpl (AGS variant).
The new Alto is equipped with more than 15 technology-driven safety features like dual airbags and ABS with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD). It also gets pre-tensioner and force-limiter front seat belts, reverse parking sensors, speed sensing auto-door-lock and highspeed alert among others.
The All-New Alto K10 is available in 6 colours with 3 new colour options- Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue and Earth Gold. Customers can personalise and enhance the overall design of their Alto K10 to reflect their style with two unique Maruti Suzuki Genuine Accessory themes. ‘Impacto’, which highlights sporty elements with accents, and ‘Glinto’, which goes for a premium impression with chrome elements.
The Alto has been one of the best-selling models in the Indian car market. It was introduced in the market in 2000 and since its debut, it has clocked sales of more than 43 lakh units.
