It’s been a little over a year since Renault launched the Kiger in India. For 2022, Renault India has updated the Kiger with a few cosmetic changes. With that, there’s also an increase in its starting price. The 2022 model year Kiger starts at Rs 5.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

That’s Rs 39,000 more expensive than Kiger’s 2021 launch price. As for features, its cabin now gets a PM2.5 advanced atmospheric filter as standard, a new red fade dashboard accent and red stitching on the seat upholstery, cruise control features and a wireless smartphone charger. On the outside, it gets a new colour option — Metal Mustard with Mystery Black roof in Dual Tone. And the Turbo range will get the chrome touch on the tailgate and front skid plate. There are a few additions on its sides as well — it gets Turbo door decals and red wheel caps for the 16-inch Diamond Cut alloys.

No changes on the mechanical front, however, you can choose to have the turbo-petrol engine on the RXT(O) variant as well. This 99-bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine can be paired either with a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. Want to know how the Kiger drives? Click here to read our review.

By the way, the Kiger also gets a decent safety rating by Global NCAP. For adult occupant safety, it gets four stars. It is fitted with four airbags — front and side — as well as seatbelts with pre-tensioner and load-limiter for driver and front passenger safety (for driver occupant). Other safety features include ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors. The bookings for the 2022 Kiger will open from the 31st of March, 2022.
