This is the all-new second generation of the Duster by Dacia. Yes, this is the same Duster name that we are familiar with. Dacia comes under the Renault Group. There’s not much that has changed in terms of its overall design, except for the minor styling tweaks.
The second-gen Duster can be easily distinguished from the first-gen, thanks to the new Y-shaped LED DRLs and 3D chrome grille up front and also the new tail lamp clusters. For the first time, the Duster gets LED headlights and turn indicators. Also, the Duster’s new wheel design and spoiler have been tested in the wind tunnel. One can either opt for the 16-inchers or 17-inch wheels.
Inside, the Duster gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with updated software, a 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and heated seats on the higher trims. Interestingly, it gets a 4×4 monitor with an inclinometer and altimeter along with a multiview camera and blind-spot monitor.
Now, the Duster is available in three engine options, an 89-bhp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 1.3-litre petrol engine available in two states of tune: 128 bhp and 148 bhp, and a 113-bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine. Also, there is a 1.0-litre bi-fuel motor that can run on petrol or LPG. There will be 4×4 variants on offer as well. It seems unlikely that the second-gen Duster will be here anytime soon.
